It is recommended that at the beginning of occupational therapy services, a comprehensive assessment be completed. This will help the therapist understand your child, how they perceive and respond to the world, and their strengths and challenges. This would involve a 15-30 minute phone screen, and then 3 hours of parent interview and child interaction, which can be divided over 2 sessions.

Typical information gathered involves current difficulties, developmental history, daily routine and difficult times of day, sensory observations, trauma history and/ or early stressors, typical behaviors, and effective calming strategies.

If you are desiring a report for future reference or for an upcoming assessment, one will be completed upon request. See                          for more information.

Sessions are typically $120.00 per hour, though sliding scale is an option, depending on availability of funding or coverage.
